Coasteering is an exhilarating and adventurous activity that allows participants to explore the stunning coastline in a unique and dynamic way. We run our coasteering trips from Baggy Point at Croyde, it's acknowledged as one of the best coasteering locations in the UK.
You will experience progressive jumps, sea caves, and turbulent swims that guarantee to get your heart racing! You'll get to enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery of Baggy Point whilst experiencing the high energy environment that is the ‘impact zone’ – where waves, rocks and gullies collide to form the ultimate challenge.
Yes they are. At Coastline sports we use guides that have the necessary qualifications and also have lots of local knowledge of the routes around Baggy Point. All of our guides have the Beach Life Guard qualification and the National Coasteering Charter Qualification. Our lead instructors have many years experience and have been on numerous coasteering trips. we try and keep the ratio of instructors to participants as low as possible to provide a safe, yet exhilarating experience.
We ensure safety during our Coasteering sessions by only using high quality safety equipment, highly experienced staff and careful and regular risk assessments. Routes are then designed for thrill and excitement with limited risk.
We supply wet suits, helmets and buoyancy aids. all you need is a towel, some shorts to go over the top of the wetsuit to protect it and a drink. We do advise that, due to the English weather being quite unpredictable at times, it is a good idea to bring some warm clothes to change into afterwards.
Also, it is useful to bring some change as we meet in the National Trust carpark which costs between £5-£6, depending on the time of year.
We meet at the National Trust car park situated at Croyde Bay. The address for the car park is Moor Lane, Croyde, Devon, EX33 1PA. To get there by road, take the A361 to Braunton, take Saunton Road B3231 to Croyde, then follow brown signs. All the information you need including the address is provided in the confirmation email upon booking. The car park is chargeable, you can either pay cash or card. Additional parking is available near by in peak season.
We advise that everyone who wants to go coasteering should able to swim 50m, perhaps more importantly you will need to be water confident. Everyone we take coasteering will be wearing a range of safety equipment which will include a personal floatation device.
The minimum age is 8 years old, if anyone is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian must sign a risk acceptance prior to the session. The upper limit really depends of you general fitness level and willingness to give it a go!
We will keep an eye on the weather/wave forecast and contact you 24 hours before your session if there is a possibility of cancellation. We will make every effort to re-schedule your session but if that is not possible you will be offered a refund.

Stand up paddleboarding in North Devon can be as exhilarating or as relaxing as you like, but one thing is certain: you will have a great time on the beautiful North Devon rivers with one of our safe and experienced instructors.
Stand up Paddleboarding is also known as SUP and is the fastest growing water sport in the world. Using a large board and a single blade paddle create a great combination for exploring rivers and coastline. It's a lot less extreme than surfing and coasteering and is generally a much calmer activity.
All of the Coastline Sports instructors hold the Beach Lifeguard qualification and are have an intimate knowledge of the North Devon area, weather patterns and tide characteristics to ensure that you are kept completely safe while having the time of your life!
